And Another One

I remember when I used to listen to secular music, there was an artist named DJ Khaled, and his catchphrase was “Another one.” When he said that at the beginning of a song, you already knew it was about to be a hit.
When God does something in your life, what is your reaction?
Mine is Hallelujah.
Hallelujah is how we respond to God the same way a crowd responds to a hit record.
DJ Khaled has hits, God has miracles. Every breakthrough, every door opened, every prayer answered is "another one."
Through our prayers we say hallelujah.
Through His miracles we say hallelujah.
Through it all we say hallelujah.
But what do you say when things aren’t working in your favor?
Do you quit?
Do you get depressed?
Do anxiety and doubt creep in?
Or worse do you give up on God?
When I read Psalm 146:1–5, I’m reminded that praise isn’t just for the good days. Especially on the bad days, we are still called to sing hallelujah.
There may be seasons when you don’t hear God.
When you don’t see movement.
When prayers feel unanswered.
Often, that silence isn’t absence ,it’s a test.
God is watching how you respond.
How you respond is often how He responds.
I’ve been through some storms myself over the last couple of years, and like the song by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll, “Hard Fought Hallelujah,” there were moments when it was hard to get that hallelujah out. But when I look back at what God has already done in me and for me, that memory became fuel for my faith.
So even when the circumstances were ugly, I still said:
Hallelujah for another day
Hallelujah for peace
Hallelujah for protection
Hallelujah for provision
These were hard-fought hallelujahs praises I had to push out.
Our praise is not passive.
Praise is a signal.
Praise shifts atmospheres.
Praise calls heaven into the situation.
Scripture shows us that when praise goes up, help comes down.
In this season this year of elevation, we’re going to have to fight for our hallelujah.
No matter the circumstances.
No matter the pressure.
No matter the delay.
Because when God moves again and He will, that’s "another one."
Reflection:
When God does something good in your life, what is your natural response do you stop to praise Him or move on quickly?
How do you usually respond when prayers seem unanswered or when God feels silent?
What is a season in your life where saying “hallelujah” required faith instead of feelings?
What past victories or breakthroughs has God already given you that can strengthen your faith right now?
In this current season of elevation, what would it look like for you to praise God before you see the outcome?
Prayer
Father God,
Today I choose to lift my hallelujah.
Not just when things are good, but even when things are hard.
Help me to praise You through every season, trusting that You are still working even when I don’t see it.
Strengthen my faith to fight for my praise and to worship You with confidence, knowing that You are faithful, powerful, and worthy.
I thank You in advance for another one.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
