Be Willing to Drown

A hand reaches up through water, text reads Isaiah 43:2 with a motivational message. Blue tones, logo and hashtags at edges. Calm mood.

Life can hit you so hard that it feels like you’re sinking by the minute.

Just when you think you’ve made it through one issue, another one rises up.

Bills pile up.

Bad news comes back-to-back.

Your strength feels gone,

and you’re gasping for air with no life vest in sight.

Your mind starts working against you.

Your eyes can’t see clearly.

Your ears aren’t hearing what they should.

You just want to give up.

I know it’s hard but when you feel like you’re drowning, you have to call on your Father.

He is your life vest.

He is the One who performs CPR when your spirit feels lifeless.

This is one of the reasons we fast.

Fasting is not about losing weight, it’s about allowing God to revive what’s been dying inside of us.

Scripture reminds us: “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16) This is where trust comes in.

Trusting God means believing that when the bills are stacking up, He will still make a way.

When sickness touches you or someone you love, healing is still on the way.

It means having what some might call stupid faith, faith that refuses to quit even when nothing looks like it’s changing.

This season isn’t just a test it’s an elevation.

The real question is: Do you trust Him, or do you trust yourself?

Just like the Hebrew boys in the fire, God doesn’t watch from a distance He steps into the fire with us. Trust isn’t easy, especially if you’ve been hurt before or you haven’t seen things manifest yet. But God is already ready to save. The question is what are you doing to be saved?

In this season:

  • Seek salvation

  • Ask for forgiveness

  • Clean out everything that’s been holding you back

This is not your season to sink.

It’s your season to float to the top.

Reflection:

  • Where in your life do you currently feel like you’re drowning?

  • What has fear or past disappointment made it hard for you to trust God with?

  • Are you relying more on your own strength or God’s power to survive this season?

  • What is one thing God is asking you to release so He can revive you?

Prayer:

Father God,

I come to You feeling overwhelmed and tired.

I admit that I’ve tried to stay afloat on my own.

Today, I choose to trust You completely.

Revive my spirit, restore my strength, and help me release everything that’s been weighing me down.

I believe You are with me in the water and in the fire.

I will not drown.

I will rise.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
